Job Summary
Manage commodity purchasing activities for High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) powertrain components and execute RFQs, supplier evaluations, and commercial negotiations. Identify regional and global sourcing opportunities to improve cost, quality, and supply performance while supporting new product launches and localization projects. Collaborate with Engineering, Supplier Development, and Operations teams to achieve sourcing targets and contribute to annual cost savings initiatives. Utilize purchasing systems such as SAP, OneSB, SWAT, MAPS, and COPS to support supplier management. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management with 3+ years of automotive purchasing experience, SAP proficiency, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Hybrid work schedule available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3+ years of purchasing, sourcing, or supplier management experience within the automotive industry or a similar manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting supplier sourcing activities, RFQs, commercial negotiations, and cost reduction initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required and support regional/global purchasing initiatives
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; SAP experience is preferred
