Job Summary
Commodity Buyer responsible for material-related, worldwide procurement market management; manage suppliers, plan and execute price negotiations, and handle contract management. Independent management of assigned suppliers, budget responsibility, and development/implementation of part family and supplier strategies, including making relevant award decisions. Requires engineering (industrial/mechanical) or business administration background, solid purchasing experience (≥3 years), project procurement experience preferred, strong negotiation and communication skills, willingness to travel, and fluency in English (German a plus).
Required Qualifications
- Solid purchasing experience (at least 3 years)
- Engineering (industrial engineering or mechanical engineering with additional commercial training) or Business Administration
- Experience in project management, preferably within project procurement
- Excellent technical understanding, strategic thinking, and a structured work approach
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- High degree of personal responsibility and motivation, as well as assertiveness and persuasiveness
- Willingness to travel
- Fluent in English, German a plus
