Job Summary
Manage the procurement process for a portfolio of goods within complex, high-value projects, from supplier sourcing and RFQ management through to purchase order execution. Launch supplier RFQs/RFPs, analyze proposals, and issue purchase orders while ensuring activities align with project schedules and milestones. Lead commercial and contractual negotiations regarding pricing, terms, and risk allocation, and monitor contractual execution including claims management and dispute resolution. Validate supplier invoices, maintain accurate data in SAP, and contribute to team metrics for on-time delivery and cost savings. Collaborate with strategic sourcing, project management, engineering, quality, finance, and contract management teams. Requires strong sourcing expertise, negotiation skills, and SAP proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or equivalent)
- Significant experience in procurement/sourcing, ideally supporting complex, high-value projects
- Proven expertise in commercial negotiation and contract management
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing and commodity management
- Ability to define and implement global sourcing strategies
- Solid supplier relationship management and negotiation skills
- Ability to operate effectively within cross-functional, multi-site, and international environments
- Strong analytical capability with a results-oriented mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Leadership and influencing skills without direct reporting authority
- Strong risk management awareness and contractual understanding
- High level of autonomy, accountability, and decision-making capability
- Ability to thrive in a demanding international environment with tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Availability for occasional business travel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: Power Generation, Heavy Industry, Nuclear, Aerospace
- Basic knowledge of project management principles
- Awareness of financial, legal, and risk management considerations
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and adapt quickly within a project-driven environment
