Job Summary
Own and manage a defined group of commodities for Alexander Dennis, driving value through sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost-reduction initiatives. Develop and implement commodity strategies aligned to business objectives; lead supplier negotiations; collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, quality, and commercial success across the supply chain. Key skills include negotiating, influencing stakeholders, market-trend analysis, and effective communication, organization, and collaboration across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing commodities and supplier relationships in a fast-paced environment
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder influence
- Analytical ability to assess market trends and deliver value
- A professional qualification in Purchasing or a relevant business degree (e.g., CIPS or equivalent) or a relevant business degree
