Job Summary
Commodity Analyst role focused on in-depth commodity market analysis to support trading decisions. Responsibilities include analyzing supply-demand balances, monitoring regulatory developments and policy changes, applying quantitative techniques to evaluate market trends, presenting analysis-backed insights with clear visualizations, sourcing and validating datasets for integration into internal systems, and developing market models and dashboards. Requires university degree in a related field, programming/model development experience (Python, SQL), experience with large datasets, strong economic/quantitative skills, and fluency in English and Mandarin. Flexible full-/part-time arrangements in Beijing or Shanghai, with an emphasis on contributing to trading analytics and market intelligence.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Energy, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
- Experience with large datasets and interfacing with databases
- Strong economic understanding with quantitative and analytical skills
- Programming/model development experience (e.g., Python, SQL)
- Excellent IT skills in a Windows environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English and proficiency in Mandarin
- Ability to transfer knowledge between analysis and trading with an interdisciplinary approach
