Job Summary
Lead structuring development, documentation, financial modelling, and pricing of commodities-linked structured solutions for origination and distribution. Originate and distribute structures by partnering with internal stakeholders and engaging clients with credible desk ideas. Understand market drivers including price dynamics, volatility, and credit risk while serving as a senior escalation point on trade design and execution risks. Prepare presentation materials, financial models, and term sheets; work with legal to negotiate transaction documents. Oversee post-trade processes to ensure entry accuracy and internal controls. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics, minimum 10 years of experience in commodities structuring, and significant leadership in originating complex transactions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
- Minimum 10 years of experience working within commodities structuring
- Entrepreneurial drive with strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Significant experience working in commodities structuring / structured financing / commodities derivatives desk, with demonstrated leadership in originating and executing complex transactions
- Well versed in the quantitative nature and framework of own product (e.g., documentation, pricing, models, etc.)
- Understands the different types of risk and can discuss in detail ways of managing these risk
- Demonstrable proficiency with market and product lingo
- Execution orientated with thorough understanding of drivers in relevant markets, transaction cycle, the steps in the process and able to explain and anticipate market movements
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with transaction documentation and common structured financing / structured derivatives structures (previous exposure in legal would be a plus)
- Ability to thrive on the challenge of competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs
- Ability to communicate concepts and ideas, both verbally and via documentation, and be able to defend their validity and target messages to different audiences
- Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
