Commit to Serve Your City Year! (Full Pay/Benefits – Academic Mentor)

Conduct 1:1 and small group academic coaching for elementary, middle, and high school students to improve attendance and develop positive behaviors. Develop literacy and math skills through varying learning activities while implementing a behavior management system. Collaborate with teachers to monitor individual student progress using City Year's data system and facilitate whole-class instruction support. Support extended day and virtual programming including academic enrichment, homework assistance, and student clubs. Create engaging classroom spaces and co-lead events recognizing student growth in math, literacy, and attendance. Complete 2-4 weeks of training before beginning service by July/August 2025.
