Commit to Serve Your City Year! (Full Pay/Benefits – Academic Mentor)

Conduct one-on-one and small group academic coaching for elementary, middle, and high school students to improve attendance, literacy, and math skills. Monitor individual student progress by collaborating with teachers to collect, record, and analyze data within City Year's student system. Create and implement behavior management systems while developing interpersonal skills through learning, practice, and reflection. Support whole school initiatives by leading extended day programming, academic enrichment, homework assistance, and student clubs before, during, and after school. Create engaging classroom spaces and co-lead events recognizing student growth in attendance and behavior. Participate in facilitated reviews of student data and work with partner teachers on whole class instruction and breakout spaces.
