Job Summary
Conduct 1:1 and small group academic coaching for elementary, middle, and high school students to improve attendance, literacy, and math skills. Create and implement behavior management systems while collaborating with teachers to monitor individual progress in City Year's data system. Support whole school initiatives by leading extended day programming, virtual sessions, and events that recognize student achievement in literacy, attendance, and behavior. Begin service by July/August 2025 following 2-4 weeks of training.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
- Be 17-25 by July 1, 2025
- Have a GED or high school diploma, some college experience, or college degree
- Have served no more than three terms in an AmeriCorps state or national program
- Agree to and complete a background check
- Be able to begin City Year by July/August 2025
