Commit to Serve Your City Year! (Full Pay/Benefits – Academic Mentor)

Conduct academic coaching and interpersonal development for elementary, middle, and high school students through one-on-one and small group sessions. Develop literacy and math skills using varied learning activities, manage behavior systems, and collaborate with teachers to monitor individual student progress via City Year's data system. Support whole school initiatives by leading extended day and virtual programming, including academic enrichment, homework support, and student clubs. Create engaging classroom spaces and co-lead events recognizing student growth in attendance and behavior. This entry-level, full-time AmeriCorps position begins July/August 2025. Members receive a bi-weekly living stipend, health insurance, and the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award.
