Job Summary
The Commissioning Technician supports the Commissioning Manager in planning and executing pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance testing for industrial facilities, including LNG and power generation sites. Essential functions include managing commissioning support craft workers, participating in key design reviews, developing schedules for pre-commissioning activities, and organizing performance tests. The role requires strong experience in heavy industrial construction and effective communication skills. A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a relevant engineering field is preferred, alongside 5+ years of related work experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred; or equivalent combination of education/experience in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of experience in heavy industrial construction, including experience with pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance testing activities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and good organizational skills.
- Ability to perform with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work on multiple activities at one time.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of industrial construction in the petrochemical, gas, aerospace or power generation industries.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel and MS Word.
