Job Summary
Create or review test procedures based on contract documents, drawings, and specifications. Design documentation such as Owner's Project Requirements and assist the Commissioning Engineer in preparing checklists for installation verification and functional performance testing. Perform field verification of equipment installation and startup, document commissioning issues, and supervise or witness equipment startups as needed. Maintain positive work relationships with project teams, vendors, contractors, and owners while adhering to schedules. Requires 5-7 years of experience in building commissioning, HVAC, and testing; 50% travel.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience of building commissioning, HVAC, Automatic Temperature Controls, and/or Testing and Balancing
- Strong fundamentals in HVAC, hydronics, automatic temperature controls and renewable energy systems design, installation, and operations
- HVAC: Hands-on experience in testing, start-up and troubleshooting of HVAC systems, including but not limited to cooling towers, chillers, packaged roof top units, ERUs, DOAS, AHUs, VRFs, VFDs, for hospitals, schools, commercial and institutional buildings
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Travel 50%
Desired Qualifications
- Electrical (additional): Hands-on experience with equipment such as emergency generators, ATS, UPS, PDUs and power monitoring systems desired
