Job Summary
This role requires a hands-on approach to commissioning and preventive maintenance of Plug Power products, including hydrogen storage infrastructure and electrolyzers, which involves heavy travel up to 100%. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, inspection, repair, testing, and project management tasks for hydrogen infrastructure. Candidates must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial hydrogen systems. Excellent communication skills are essential for interfacing with customers and cross-functional teams to enhance service quality. A background in construction, repair, or maintenance within electrical, industrial, or mechanical fields is required, along with a relevant educational background.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) or more years of experience in construction, repair, or maintenance in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field
- Associates degree or vocational degree in engineering, electronics, pressurized systems or other applicable field of study preferred
- In lieu of a degree, 2 additional years of construction, repair, or maintenance experience in an electrical, industrial, or mechanical field
- Ability to travel as needed to carry out duties of the position – up to 100%
Desired Qualifications
- Industrial gas or high-pressure systems experience highly preferred
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of skill with mechanical systems installation, troubleshooting, and repair
- Ability to diagnose system failures and isolate root cause
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software for reporting and email correspondence
