Job Summary
Commissioning Project Manager for renewable energy projects (wind, solar, battery storage) on a 1-year contract. Remote work with travel to multiple sites. Responsible for execution of assigned renewable power plant projects and teams as it relates to commissioning, start-up and operational turnover, reporting to the onsite Manager. Key duties include coordinating EPC contractor personnel, OEM start-up personnel, third-party start-up contractors, and operations personnel on site; ensuring project reliability at operational turnover with minimal lost time; ensuring compliance with contractual documents including Power Purchase Agreement and Large Generator Interconnect Agreement deliverables with local utility; overseeing commissioning personnel across multiple sites; providing SME input into safety, personnel, and quality/efficiency improvements; collaborating with safety, engineering, and quality control teams. Emphasizes requirements in electrical construction/commissioning methods (NEC/NFPA), SCADA integration, E&I installation/startup, protection and controls, inverter operation, BESS operation, and drawing quality control; experience managing third parties and suppliers. Required Qualifications
- Electrical construction and commissioning means and methods knowledge including NEC and NFPA
- Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) integration and troubleshooting
- E&I controls and instrumentation installation, startup and troubleshooting
- Protection and Controls implementation and troubleshooting
- Inverter operation and communications startup and troubleshooting
- Battery Energy Storage System operation and troubleshooting
- Drawing review quality control inspection
