Job Summary
The Commissioning Project Manager (CxPM) will serve as Pepper Construction’s internal lead during the commissioning process, acting as the primary Pepper contact with the 3rd party commissioning agent (CxA) and coordinating Pepper’s Trade Partners to ensure commissioning tasks (checklists, testing, etc.) are completed. This field-based role involves reviews of commissioning plans, tracking L1–L3 checklists in project platforms (CxAlloy or Facility Grid), reviewing test scripts for conformity with equipment and sequences of operation, leading controls/SOO review meetings, attending project commissioning meetings, monitoring schedule progress, and coordinating L2/L3 issues with the CxA and trade partners. The CxPM will champion the commissioning process inside Pepper and with customers, ensuring 100% closure of L2/L3 checklists before L4 testing and L4 issues before L5 IST, while effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years’ commissioning experience
- Complex MEP project commissioning experience (such as hospitals, pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or industrial)
- Data center commissioning experience is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to communicate with and manage the expectations of a diverse group of stakeholders, including commissioning agents, project teams, contractors, and owners
- Must be able to lead meetings and make decisions in support of the project team
