Job Summary
Lead and manage commissioning projects for data centers as the CxA Project Manager, directing a team of commissioning engineers and CXA project managers to apply CXA standards, oversee QC processes, and document client systems. Responsibilities include managing design reviews, field testing, commissioning procedures and reports, client interface and meetings, budgeting and scheduling (P&L), producing engineering proposals (RFPs), coordinating with contractors and vendors, tracking progress and costs, generating comprehensive commissioning documentation, and field troubleshooting of equipment (power quality analyzers, data loggers, etc.). Requires deep knowledge of data-center commissioning, ability to interface with clients, and strong writing and communication skills; travel 25-50% is required.
Required Qualifications
- Hands on experience managing Data Centers / Critical Facilities Projects with an A/E, MEP or CxA company
- 5 to 10 or more years of experience in the Electrical / Mechanical Commissioning Field
- Experience with IEEE / ASHRAE procedures and protocols a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering a plus
- P.E. license / LEED accreditation a plus
- PMP certification a plus
- Project management experience in the Consulting Engineering Industry
- Client relationship / Client Management / Client Engagement / Business Development - creating RFPs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational, communication, and reporting skills
- Computer savvy / Microsoft Project, Excel
- Travel: Must be open to 25-50%
