Job Summary

Lead development and management of key relationships across the health and social care landscape to position Naomi and Jack's as an integral contributor to local and national care priorities. Build and strengthen partnerships with commissioners, ICBs, ICS, and Local Authorities while raising awareness of legislation and guidance. Identify and secure new statutory funding opportunities by developing compelling business cases, bids, and service specifications. Monitor commissioning priorities to influence future service provision and represent the organization in strategic forums and national networks. Work collaboratively with clinical, finance, fundraising, and leadership teams to maximize impact and sustainability. This newly developed role sits at the heart of strategic ambitions to ensure services are sustainably funded and viewed as a key partner in delivering statutory responsibilities and value-based population health outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, with evidence of continuing professional development
  • Significant experience within health, education and or social care sectors
  • Proven track record of partnership working across complex, multi-agency environments
  • A deep understanding of commissioning arrangements, including the procurement and contracting processes used by the NHS
  • Specialist knowledge of current national priorities for the NHS and how they relate to children's palliative care
  • Highly developed negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility with senior commissioners, clinicians and stakeholder
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex data and policy to create clear, evidence-based reports and business cases
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan and deliver service improvements within budget and on time
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between hospice specific needs and commissioner led processes
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Successful applicants will be required to apply for an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly Criminal Records Bureau)
  • Successful applicants will be required to provide satisfactory references covering the last 5 years
