Job Summary
You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality building systems commissioning for mechanical and HVAC systems, with responsibilities including planning and executing commissioning activities, reviewing technical documents, developing performance tests, and coordinating with various project teams. The position requires collaboration with project managers and engineers, fieldwork including startups, and maintaining commissioning documentation. A bachelor's degree in engineering is required, along with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in commissioning, HVAC system design, or building automation design, or closely related field work.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems and terminology, including a basic understanding of controls/BAS sequences.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and translate them into test procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong teamwork and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality; ability to follow site safety requirements.
- Ability to travel to project sites and perform field work.
Desired Qualifications
- EIT/FE (or active pursuit) is a plus.
- Ability and desire to obtain an approved commissioning-related certification.
- Experience supporting functional testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution on complex facilities.
- Exposure to commissioning best practices and workflows.
- Experience with controls testing and data trending.
