Commissioning Engineer

Job Summary
Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules for new and upgraded systems. Conduct pre-commissioning checks, functional tests, and performance verification of electrical, mechanical, and control systems. Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to resolve technical issues, perform system integration tests, and troubleshoot complex problems to identify root causes. Prepare detailed commissioning reports, train operational personnel, and ensure all activities adhere to safety regulations and industry standards. Participate in client acceptance testing and provide technical support during project handover while maintaining accurate records. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, five years of experience, and familiarity with PLCs, DCS, and SCADA. Full-time role with occasional travel to project sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning industrial or utility-scale projects
- Proven experience with various control systems (e.g., PLCs, DCS, SCADA) and instrumentation
- Strong understanding of electrical power distribution, motor control, and protection systems
- Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., IEEE, NFPA, IEC)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical reporting and team collaboration
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
