Job Summary
Commissioning Engineer responsible for FAT, SAT, and site commissioning across substations, solar farms, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Australia. Involves workshop-based and site-based testing, development of commissioning plans and procedures, verification of protection schemes, PLCs/HMIs/SCADA, I/O and communication checks, issue resolution, detailed documentation, and collaboration with electrical, mechanical, and control engineers. Requires 5+ years in commissioning within energy/utilities/infrastructure, experience with substations, solar/BESS, and travel to site. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and current driver’s license. Travel to site as required; compliance with safety, WHS, QMS, and EMS standards.
