Commissioning Engineer II

Job Summary
Commission, troubleshoot, and optimize cryogenic pump skid systems, LNG equipment, and associated electrical, mechanical, and control systems at factory and customer sites. Execute pre-commissioning, FAT/SAT, loop checking, startup, sequence validation, and interlock testing while verifying PLC/VFD communication, electrical schematics, and instrumentation calibration. Lead testing, commissioning, and warranty handover meetings to ensure on-time, in-budget project execution and coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, and clients. Deliver customer training on safe operation and maintenance, prepare comprehensive commissioning documentation including punch lists and handover packages, and mentor engineering associates. Extensive domestic and international travel is required, with potential for overtime, weekend, and holiday work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Equivalent in electrical engineering/Mechatronics engineering or Equivalent
- Around 5 years of relevant experience in electrical commissioning
- Experience in pump packages, VFDs, cryogenic systems, PLC communication, and electrical panels is mandatory
- Willingness to travel extensively for commissioning activities
- Ability to read P&IDs and electrical drawings
- LNG experience
- Cryogenic equipment experience
- Industrial gas industry experience
- PLC knowledge
- Customer relationship Management
- Technical reporting

- Independent decision making
- Valid driver's license
- Valid passport, or the ability to obtain a valid passport
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Willingness to work overtime, outside of regular business hours and regular working days, to meet customer needs
- Ability to perform effectively in high stress situations
- Candidates cannot have issues with heights or confined spaces
- Travel domestically and internationally as required to support installation, commissioning, startup, maintenance, and emergency troubleshooting activities
- Overtime may be necessary as the work load's dictates. This may include weekdays, weekends, nights and/or holidays, travel required up to 80% and Emergency call-out expectations
Desired Qualifications
- AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN (basic knowledge preferred)
