Job Summary
Commissioning Consultant to provide advisory services for industrial projects within the Saskatchewan Public Sector. Responsibilities include developing commissioning strategies and documentation, turning over systems from construction to operations, supplying and adapting templates and ITRs, creating system-specific procedures aligned with OEM guidance and client standards, participating in readiness reviews and punch-list resolution, and providing lessons-learned feedback. Collaboration with the client’s commissioning, project delivery, and construction teams, along with contractors and OEM vendors, to ensure safe, consistent, and timely handover. Qualifications emphasize proven commissioning experience in industrial facilities (mining, metals, chemicals, or equivalent), expertise in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & controls, process, or operations, familiarity with CSA Z320 or equivalent, and professional credentials such as P.Eng. or technologist. Strong technical writing and documentation skills are required, with a commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and quality standards; the ability to provide independent, practical recommendations is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering commissioning services for industrial facilities
- Expertise in at least one discipline: mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & controls, process, or operations
- Familiarity with commissioning frameworks such as CSA Z320 or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with owner-led commissioning teams and EPC organizations
- Professional credentials such as P.Eng., technologist, or equivalent
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills, with the ability to produce high-quality procedures and templates
- Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and quality standards
- Excellent problem-solving and advisory skills, with the ability to provide independent, practical recommendations
