Job Summary
Commissioning Agent to join BGIS (Remote, US) responsible for commissioning mission-critical center equipment systems (power distribution, UPS, BAS/BMS, HVAC). Responsibilities include design reviews, developing startup and commissioning policies, QA/QC of equipment installation, construction observations, executing tests to standards, training operations personnel, vendor/subcontractor liaison, data analysis and technical reporting, and coordinating small to mid-size projects with a heavy travel requirement (up to 75%, national/international). Requires 7+ years in electrical power distribution or mechanical systems, an AA degree or equivalent, strong communication, AutoCAD knowledge, and passport readiness. Remote work with travel to client sites; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of industry experience in electrical power distribution or mechanical systems or both
- AA degree, military training or equivalent work experience
- Be organized; possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience with MS Word and Excel
- Must have the ability to work in a high stress environment, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of building codes and construction industry standards
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Must have or be able to obtain a passport
- Must be proficient in commissioning procedures (BCA, PECI and/or ASHRAE)
- Five (5) years of experience in the commissioning field including performance contracting requirements
- Hospital, biotech, data center, and energy analysis experience is preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel, 75% of the time
- Provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office; reimbursed
