Job Summary
This role involves dishwashing duties and prep support in a high-volume kitchen environment at Blue Bottle, including washing and sanitizing equipment, maintaining the dish area, and assisting the savory and pastry teams with from-scratch prep, recipe scaling, and portioning; requires strong teamwork, reliability, punctuality, attention to food safety, GMP adherence, and ability to stand for long hours, work weekends/holidays, and communicate effectively with teammates; temperature and environmental controls are part of the production warehouse setting, with comprehensive benefits starting on day one.
Required Qualifications
- Food Handler’s Certificate or certification within 30 days of hire
- Relevant experience working in a professional kitchen
- A thorough understanding of how to safely operate in a professional kitchen environment
- The ability to read and speak English proficiently
- Basic math and writing skills
- The ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time (at least 8 hours per day and 5 days per week)
- The use of hands to handle or feel, and the ability to reach with hands and arms
- The ability to lift, push/pull, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds
