Job Summary
The Demi Pastry Chef assists the Pastry Chef in preparing and presenting desserts and pastries according to established recipes and quality standards at Empiria Group’s luxury hotels in Greece. Responsibilities include helping with the production of desserts, pastries, baked goods, and other pastry items; ensuring all pastry items meet quality, taste, and presentation standards; maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the pastry section; assisting with inventory control and reporting shortages; following all health, safety, and sanitation procedures; working efficiently and collaboratively to support smooth daily kitchen operations; and properly organizing and storing raw materials and finished products per food safety guidelines. Requirements include a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar pastry role (preferably within hospitality or luxury industry), a Degree or Diploma in Pastry Arts / Culinary Arts, knowledge of the English language, strong organizational and time management skills, a team-oriented and flexible mindset, and a pleasant, professional, customer-oriented personality.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar pastry position, preferably within hospitality or the luxury industry.
- Degree or Diploma in Pastry Arts / Culinary Arts.
- Knowledge of the English language.
