Job Summary
Commis II responsible for preparing ingredients and cooking to Marriott standards. Tasks include portioning, chopping, washing and peeling produce, weighing and mixing ingredients, following recipes and quality/presentation standards, preparing cold foods, operating ovens/stoves/grills/microwaves/fryers, testing for doneness, maintaining station setup and breakdown, ensuring proper food temperatures, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. Must follow safety policies, report maintenance or safety issues, maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, communicate clearly, foster positive teamwork, and handle physical tasks (standing/walking for long periods; lifting up to 25 pounds). Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience.
