Job Summary
Prep ingredients and prepare recipes to specification while maintaining a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift. Properly label and rotate ingredients and finished recipes according to FLM standards, and adhere to all health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes. Assist with receiving deliveries and always maintain composure and hospitality with guests and staff. This Commis Cook role is part of the fine-dining Aurelia restaurant at Castle Hill Inn in Newport, RI, where you will work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible scheduling is required for days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and the position offers competitive hourly pay, sick leave, and employee ownership opportunities within the 100% employee-owned Newport Restaurant Group.
Required Qualifications
- Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
- Must hold Alcohol Safety Certification
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and move 25-50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of previous fine dining server experience preferred
