Job Summary
Support senior chefs with daily food preparation tasks; follow recipes and instructions accurately; maintain cleanliness and organise work areas; ensure food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are followed at all times; learn core kitchen skills under the guidance of senior chefs; assist with basic food preparation including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients; help prepare simple dishes, garnishes, and sauces under supervision; keep workstations, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitised; support the kitchen team during service; assist with stock rotation, labeling, and correct food storage; carry out daily cleaning duties as directed; report any equipment faults or food safety concerns to senior chefs; comply with all food hygiene, health & safety, and fire safety regulations; maintain excellent personal hygiene standards; assist with food safety documentation when required; a genuine interest in cooking and developing a career in hospitality; willingness to learn and follow instructions; a positive attitude and strong work ethic; ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
