Job Summary
Prepare and produce high-quality food in accordance with standard recipes and presentation guidelines across restaurant, bar, in-room dining, breakfast service, and banquet operations. Support the culinary team by delivering diverse dining experiences, maintaining exceptional food presentation and quality standards, and ensuring accurate HACCP records and compliance with food safety and hygiene procedures. Receive and check deliveries, store stock correctly, and record invoices while championing workplace hazard identification and risk control measures. Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment and collaborate with Front of House colleagues to create memorable guest experiences. Complete ad-hoc duties as required to support smooth hotel operations.
Required Qualifications
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to develop your skills within a luxury hotel environment
- 6-12 months' experience in a commercial kitchen or similar food preparation environment
- Qualifications in Commercial Cookery, Culinary Arts, or a related discipline from a recognised training provider
- A strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a collaborative approach to work
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and effective time management abilities
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- A guest-focused mindset and willingness to support colleagues and guests whenever required
- A professional appearance and commitment to maintaining personal grooming and hygiene standards
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and public holidays
- You must meet the legal requirements to live and work in Australia
