Job Summary
Prepare special meals or substitute items; regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters; pull food from freezer to thaw; ensure proper portion, arrangement, and garnish; maintain food logs; monitor quality and quantity; communicate needs during busy periods; inform Chef of excess items for daily specials; inform staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items; ensure quality of food; prepare and cook according to recipes and standards; prepare cold foods; assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees; follow safety policies; maintain professional appearance; protect company assets; anticipate guests’ service needs; use clear professional language; develop positive relationships and support team goals; adhere to quality expectations; stand or move for long periods; lift objects up to 25 pounds; perform other duties as requested; full Australian working rights required; Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer.
