Job Summary
The Commis Chef supports the kitchen team in preparing and serving high-quality food under the guidance of the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and Chef de Partie. Responsibilities include assisting with ingredient and dish preparation, following established cooking procedures and health, safety, and hygiene standards, maintaining clean and organized workstations, supporting dishwashing and cleaning duties, ensuring proper food storage and labeling, performing basic prep tasks (chopping, peeling, portioning, mise en place), and contributing to efficient service during peak periods. Requires basic knowledge of kitchen operations, previous kitchen experience is advantageous, and strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication are essential.
