Job Summary
Commis Chef for CTICC kitchen assisting the Demi Chef de Partie with preparation, cooking, and storage across pastry/cold/hot sections. Ensure HACCP and Health & Safety regulations are followed, maintain hygiene, manage mis-en-place and stock movements, monitor equipment and waste, and support kitchen operations with accurate documentation and a professional, customer-focused approach.
Required Qualifications
- Matric or equivalent (NQF 4)
- Food and wine knowledge
- Excellent record of kitchen management (cold/hot/pastry)
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office)
- Good cooking skills
- Knowledge of cooking ingredients, equipment, and processes
- Time management and flexible
- Quality driven, trustworthy, good communication and active listening skills
