Job Summary
Commis 3 - Pastry Kitchen assists the pastry team in the preparation, production, and presentation of desserts, pastries, and other sweet items in accordance with hotel standards. The role supports daily pastry operations while maintaining quality, consistency, and food safety standards. Responsibilities include assisting with preparation and production of desserts, pastries, cakes, and other pastry items; preparing ingredients and mise en place according to recipes; maintaining product quality and presentation; ensuring cleanliness and proper food storage; following all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards; minimizing food waste and using ingredients efficiently; assisting with receiving, storing, and rotating food products using FIFO; working closely with team members to ensure smooth daily pastry operations; performing other duties as assigned by supervisory staff. Visa sponsorship is not available for the role; position is limited to local candidates or those with Malaysian Permanent Resident status.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Pastry, Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Must have right to work in Malaysia
- Able to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as per business demands and needs
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English and Bahasa Malaysia
