Job Summary
Commi Indian position at ibis Thane within the hotel kitchen: stock up the assigned kitchen with raw materials and ingredients daily; operate and observe safety with kitchen equipment; master basic cooking methods and prepare daily mise-en-place for the assigned station; prepare food items per standard recipe cards with portion control and minimal wastage; uphold HACCP food safety and hygiene standards; clean and maintain equipment in the food production area; report hazards or maintenance needs to supervisor; participate in safety procedures, briefings, and trainings; maintain high standards of personal appearance and hygiene; perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Primary school education
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar capacity
- Oral proficiency in English language
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
- Results and service oriented with an eye for details
- A team player & builder
- A motivator & self-starter
