Prepare ingredients for cooking by portioning, chopping, storing, and mixing items according to recipes and quality standards. Cook food using ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers while testing for proper doneness and monitoring quality. Wash, peel fruits and vegetables, and wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, and equipment. Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and check appliance temperatures. Follow all safety policies, report maintenance needs or injuries, and maintain a clean, professional appearance. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, lifting objects up to 25 pounds. Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
