Job Summary
Mid- to senior-level Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney needed in Queens Village, NY. Independently manage a diverse caseload of commercial and real estate litigation matters, from inception through resolution, with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions, conducting depositions, court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations across disputes such as real estate litigation, partnership and shareholder disputes, fiduciary duty claims, specific performance, partition actions, and contract disputes. Collaborate with partners on litigation strategy and case management while maintaining strong client relationships and providing practical legal guidance. Base salary $175,000–$200,000 with discretionary bonuses, an origination bonus for self-generated business, generous health insurance, profit-sharing plan, paid vacation, and firm-paid court-related expenses. Primarily in-office with some flexibility. Located in Queens Village, NY with on-site work required.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of commercial litigation and/or real estate litigation experience
- Strong ability to independently manage cases and move matters forward efficiently
- Experience handling sophisticated business disputes preferred
- Trial experience is a plus, though not required
- Portable business is highly valued and will be compensated accordingly
- Excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment
