Job Summary
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or potential problems. Assemble and install valves, fittings, and other plumbing components. Perform construction plumbing tasks as needed for new installations or renovations. Troubleshoot plumbing issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner. Weld pipes and fittings as required for specific projects. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and general contractors on larger projects. Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and other physically demanding tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Plumber or in a similar role within the construction industry
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to assemble and maintain plumbing systems
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials needed for projects
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Familiarity with welding techniques is preferred but not mandatory
- A maintenance person background or experience in carpentry is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment
