Job Summary
Oakworth Capital Bank seeks a Commercial Credit Analyst to join the Birmingham, AL credit team. The role focuses on underwriting loan requests, assembling loan approval packages, and managing ongoing credit risk in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include analyzing financial statements and cash flows, evaluating collateral, ensuring adherence to credit policies, reviewing loan documents pre-closing, and supporting client advisors and managers with risk assessment, industry research, and competitive landscape analyses. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, deep knowledge of loan products and credit policy/procedure, and the ability to work effectively in a team to deliver prudent, value-added credit structuring and risk management across commercial clients and existing loan portfolios.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of analyzing commercial and industrial companies, including financial statement analysis, collateral analysis and cash flow analysis
- Flexible in order to be responsive to issues and problem solve
- Excellent written and verbal communication to interact professionally with associates and clients
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of loan products, market pricing & structure trends, credit policies and procedures and federal regulations
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and collaborate across departments to meet client needs and strategic objectives
