Commercialization Manager- NGS

Job Summary

Translate Zymo's technical innovations into compelling customer-facing value propositions and develop clear product positioning for NGS library preparation and epigenetics portfolios. Own assigned product lifecycles from concept through maturity, driving adoption and revenue expansion via go-to-market strategies and financial modeling. Partner with R&D, sales, and operations to synchronize launches, while conducting market research on emerging technologies and competitors to refine strategies. Equip sales teams and distributors with targeted messaging, training programs, and collateral to support channel partners. Build business cases supported by voice-of-customer research to guide investment decisions and portfolio prioritization. Lead commercialization efforts in sequencing and epigenetic profiling markets, monitoring regulatory genomics and biomarker discovery trends to inform strategic planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Practical experience with NGS library preparation workflows (e.g., DNA-seq, RNA-seq, metagenomics, bisulfite sequencing, targeted sequencing, or single-cell library prep)
  • Familiarity with epigenetics technologies, including DNA methylation analysis, chromatin accessibility assays, bisulfite conversion methods, or regulatory genomics workflows
  • Ability to understand and communicate workflow-level nuances to differentiate Zymo's NGS and epigenetics solutions in the marketplace
  • Advanced degree in life sciences (MS/PhD strongly preferred; BS with significant relevant experience considered)
  • 3–7 years of experience in product marketing, product management, or commercialization within the life sciences tools or biotechnology industry
  • 3–7 years of industry R&D experience who demonstrate strong aptitude and interest in commercialization
  • Strong track record of product launches, revenue growth, and customer adoption strategies
  • Hands-on understanding of molecular biology, genomics, or adjacent research fields
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex science into market-ready positioning
  • Strong skills in market analysis, competitive insight, and business case development
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence across technical and commercial teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% for trade shows, conferences, and customer-facing events

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or commercializing molecular biology tools used in genomics, sequencing, or epigenetic applications preferred
  • Experience supporting distributors, channel partners, or global commercialization a plus
