Job Summary
The Commercial Vehicle Driving Full-time Instructor will provide instruction, support college policies, and assist students with academic and career planning. Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance of truck and trailer records, scheduling, and supporting recruitment efforts. Qualified candidates must possess a high school diploma, at least three years of full-time tractor-trailer truck driving experience, and a valid State of Florida Class ‘A’ License. The role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a commitment to student success.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- At least three (3) years of full-time tractor-trailer truck driving experience
- Possess a current State of Florida Class ‘A’ License
- Knowledge of and experience with tractor-trailer truck driving principles and applications
- Clean & safe driving record
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to keep accurate & thorough records
- Skilled in organization of tasks and responsive follow-through
Desired Qualifications
- CDL holders with endorsements
- Prior history of commercial vehicle instruction/training preferred
