Job Summary
Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization to company personnel and customers regarding the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies. Utilize underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority limits to underwrite title insurance issuances. Issue underwriting standards and guidelines in accordance with established company processes and provide guidance to company personnel on real estate settlement services. This role requires a law degree, admission to practice in the state of employment, and 8-10 years of title underwriting experience. The position is remote with a competitive salary range of $129,300.00 - $172,300.00 annually. First American's Agency Division empowers policy-issuing agents with resources and underwriting guidance to achieve new levels of success.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years title underwriting experience
- commercial experience preferred
- Law Degree
- admitted to practice law in state of employment
- Licensed to practice law, in good standing
- familiar with real estate law
- Strong understanding of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of real estate title and settlement process
