Job Summary
Lead a commercial lines underwriting team as an Underwriting Leader/Assistant Manager, overseeing strategy, complex account decisions, and coaching underwriters to drive profitable portfolio growth. Build and strengthen agency relationships, guide risk evaluation and pricing alignment with exposure, and ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines while supporting agents in quality submissions. Occasional travel may be required to support multiple locations and client interactions. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with regional leadership, and delivering results through team development and effective communication with agents and internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in insurance or business administration or equivalent relevant experience
- Six years of commercial lines underwriting experience or related experience
- Insurance designations preferred, such as CPCU and CIC
