Job Summary
Champion strong broker relationships by managing and growing your assigned portfolio through daily engagement, clear communication, and trusted guidance. Negotiate pricing and terms for new business and renewals to support a profitable, well-managed book within your underwriting authority. Apply strong technical underwriting judgment to evaluate Property & Casualty commercial accounts, utilizing risk management and loss control practices to support high-quality decisions. Stay ahead of market trends by educating brokers on regional conditions, pricing movements, and product offerings while delivering exceptional service through urgent, clear responses to inquiries. Collaborate closely with colleagues across the branch to drive collective success within the SME Commercial Insurance business unit.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in Commercial Lines underwriting or underwriting support
- Post‐secondary education in Business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- CIP designation (or willingness to complete it within a reasonable timeframe)
Desired Qualifications
- ideally with P&C technical knowledge
