Job Summary
Underwrite new business submissions, renewals, and endorsements while overseeing growth and profitability of a commercial territory. Apply advanced underwriting knowledge to assess risk, determine coverage, and ensure profitability by using internal and external data to support decision-making. Document files with sufficient detail, provide performance reports to leadership, and maintain compliance with guidelines and rate plans. Collaborate with sales, claims, loss control, and agency partners to lead visits and promote product benefits. Mentor new associates and contribute to enterprise initiatives while navigating team conflicts. This fully remote role covers Ohio territory, with occasional travel for meetings and training.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in commercial multi-line underwriting
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance or related field
- Completion of certificate in General Insurance and Associate in Underwriting program
