Job Summary
Structure and underwrite healthcare lending opportunities in senior housing, hospitals, and ancillary medical services by conducting detailed financial analysis, portfolio management, and credit analysis. Assign appropriate asset quality ratings, perform covenant testing, and monitor key metrics to ensure compliance with bank lending standards and maintain strong asset quality. Collaborate with Relationship Managers to provide credit expertise, assist in loan structuring, and address delinquencies or default situations while meeting client-driven response timelines.
Required Qualifications
- 2-7 years' progressive experience within Commercial Credit
- Healthcare Underwriting with senior and assisted living facilities
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- Demonstrated ability to independently (with limited oversight), understand, analyze and interpret financial statements
- Demonstrated ability to independently (with limited oversight), build out cash flows to determine borrower's overall ability to repay debt
- Basic knowledge of loan structuring, borrowing causes and lending regulations
- Ability to comply with and conform to ONB lending policies, guidelines and standards
- Proficient in excel
- Firm understanding of key bank underwriting metrics
- Ability to make sound independent decisions and communicate those decisions clearly and effectively to the internal/external client quickly given the high volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to actively listen, quickly identify issues as well as opportunities when they arise, and problem solve in real-time to move the work accordingly
- Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to be an independent thinker
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
