Job Summary
Commercial Underwriter responsible for analyzing complex underwriting requests, including derogation requests for new business and renewals, ensuring profitable and compliant growth across client segments, and aligning commercial and risk perspectives. Acts as a partner to sales, account managers and regional teams, provides guidance on underwriting and contractual matters, supports negotiations, ensures Group-approved wordings, and contributes to governance, process improvements, and global projects. Requires a Master's degree and 3+ years in credit insurance or related underwriting roles; fluency in English and French; strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; experience in an international/multicultural environment; proficient with Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking, Insurance or Legal Studies
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in trade credit insurance, banking or factoring, within a commercial underwriting, sales / account management, claims, legal or risk-related functions
- Strong knowledge of the credit insurance industry and commercial underwriting practices
- Solid understanding of contract structures and negotiation between pricing, risk and commercial constraints
- Fluent in English and French (both written and spoken)
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
