Commercial Transactional / Real Estate Paralegal

Job Summary
Assist with national commercial real estate transactions from initial contract through closing, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. Manage assigned closing files for local agents by coordinating title searches, reviewing commitments, and executing settlement documentation. Review and organize transaction materials, coordinate due diligence, and track contractual obligations and critical dates. Collaborate with attorneys, lenders, and other participants to resolve title exceptions and ensure accurate file organization. Work under the direction of a senior paralegal while managing multiple assignments independently.
Required Qualifications
- Significant prior experience as a transactional and/or commercial real estate paralegal
- Experience handling commercial real estate transactions from contract through closing
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and closing files simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, anticipate next steps, and follow matters through completion without constant supervision
- Equally important, the ability to work as an integral member of a team and effectively take direction from a senior paralegal
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and a strong work ethic
- Demonstrated employment stability and a record of commitment and increasing responsibility in prior positions
- Ability and willingness to adjust working hours when transaction deadlines, closings, or workload require additional time
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience as a title agent, licensed title professional, escrow/closing professional, or in a comparable role
- Experience reviewing title commitments, title exceptions, surveys, closing documents, and related real estate documentation
- Experience working on transactions in multiple states
