Job Summary
As a Commercial Tire Technician, you will remove, install, rotate, balance, and perform flat repairs on commercial and large equipment tires (in shop or at customer location); safely separate and reassemble tires onto wheels using specialized equipment; inspect casings for defects; locate and seal tire punctures (patch and plug); prepare rims and wheel drums for reassembly; for retreads, prepare retreads, discuss tread with customer, create work order, stage, load; unload retreads and stack in warehouse; perform fleet inspections to assess tire needs and make recommendations; raise and lower vehicles with hydraulic or floor jacks; operate and maintain diagnostic equipment and shop machinery including balancer, jacks, safety cage, torque wrenches, and related tools; ensure safety and quality in tire service and customer interactions.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Positive attitude and the ability to relate well with other employees and customers
