Job Summary
Commercial Technician II responsible for installation, startup, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of commercial HVACR equipment, systems and units. Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders, planning daily travel, investigating complaints, conducting tests and resolving problems. Establishes service by studying system requirements, ordering parts, completing installation and performing acceptance tests. Maintains rapport with customers, documents service actions, keeps information confidential, and pursues ongoing education. Requires experience with VRF and BAS/DDC controls, own tools, valid driver’s license, and at least five years of related work experience in a technical/trade setting. Works independently or with a team to meet management objectives and perform related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Technician’s Degree or equivalent from a Technical/Trade School with a certificate in HVAC and five (5) years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have experience in a service vehicle, doing service work for an HVAC contractor and the ability to work with a team.
- VRF experience is preferred.
- BAS/DDC Controls experience is desired.
- Must have own tools.
- Must be reliable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
