Job Summary
Lead the commercial team's borrowing and non-borrowing portfolio by developing business plans to acquire, retain, and expand relationships while monitoring credit quality standards. Split time as a producer and coach to mentor bankers on loan origination, underwriting, and cross-selling products, including Treasury Services. Execute call programs to capitalize on cross-sell opportunities and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and existing clients. Prepare correspondence, commitment letters, and loan memorandums while ensuring all portfolio administration and risk management comply with regulatory guidelines. Regularly meet with the team to set and monitor individual goals aligned with the bank's strategic plan for market penetration and production.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or Finance
- Minimum of 10 years' experience as a commercial banker
- Strong credit skills
- Excellent C&I lending and product knowledge
- Organization skills
- Ability to service and originate real estate and more challenging and complex C&I loans
- Ability to make knowledgeable loan decisions based on information supplied by the customer verified through a rigorous underwriting process
- Strong ability to structure loans
- Effective problem solving
- Excellent collaboration and inter-personal communication skills
- Proven track record with sales and new business development in conjunction with exceeding sales goals
- Ability to work well in a sales driven environment
